It is all about money & greed, ... Our shop, builds tooling for making plastic parts.. 10 years ago, I could not keep up, I worked 12 hour days, 6 or 7 a week... I started seeing a decline around 5 years ago, now I am not even billing enough hours to cover the rent, power, & phone. Customers that I went the extra mile for, now are getting tools built in China. One even brought in a Junk Chinese mold & asked me to work on it for free.. I bet he never returns, LOL... All of this is so the CEO's & Beancounters can get a bigger bonus at the end of the year, & show the stockholders a dividend. As all expenses rise, big customers are demanding price redutions from small suppliers. I have to be so negative, but I think we are starting to go into a recession as I type this...
