My 6.0 powerstroke was so good that Ford bought it back. In the 4 months I owned it,it spent 64 days in the shop.Turbo went out with 800 miles on it and dumped some shrapnel on top of the pistons, dealer put a new engine in it. That one lasted 1250 miles and dropped a valve into the piston.Ford wanted to patch that engine with a new head and piston only, and I wouldn't accept it.It took a lawyer to do it,but Ford bought it back.I've been a diehard Ford man all my life, but I wouldn't take another one if it was given to me.Like was said below, check with the mechanics in a couple of dealers, there probably won't be alot of good things said about that new engine.
