Hi Allen; I have a 1991 dodge 1 ton with a cummings engine in it 83,514 miles on it. we have pulled everthing from a big fifth wheel trailer 38ft i believe to a three axle stock trailer. also have a 10,000 lb equipment trailer to haul the tactors on.and have had no problems, ;oaded or empty it gets the same milege. had to replace a stuck thermostat here last yr. no other problems. we pull a 18ft trailer we use for hauling hay we get 50 100 lb.bales on it have no problems pulling it I was a heavey equipment mech working on cranes and the cummings engine is the same engine they use in the 55 ton Grove rough terrain. the cat engine was mentioned it is a good engine but now is made in Japan by mitzubisty <(sp) you will find the three diamonds above the starter, cat is a heavey engine also Just my thoughts Jer
