If you have the narrow, 2 wheel tricycle front end, be careful. That front end is not the strongest. When I was a kid, we had a VAC. One time when I was plowing, the front wheels broke off the upright movable steering shaft. The wheels rode back under the oil pan and were almost to the transmission before I was able to stop the tractor. The front wheels and tires were still on the spindles, which were holding together, but the upright shaft had apparently crystalized and broke suddenly. We were able to get a good used assembly and fixed the VAC fairly easily and cheaply, and used it for years afterwards. But there was no warning of the problem before the front wheels came off. Luckily I was plowing at a fairly slow speed and could get it stopped befor the front end dug in. It could have been real bad if I had been going fast down the road in high gear! I would be real careful trying to use a loader with a tricycle VAC. Maybe my experience was unusual, but I don't think that front end is up to adding a lot of load to it, like a loader might do. I enjoyed the old VAC and have many good memories of the many times I used it. It was a very good tractor for our farm, except for that one dangerous incident. Good luck!
