Distributor doesn't sound like problem- you say you are only moving a bit in 3rd gear, check your transmission and brakes. 12 volt battery on 6 volt system would not be good for continous use- coil and condensor heating is problem, points will wear bad when condensor goes. Do you have idle but dies trying to move with more throrrle?- check for fouled carb, this is a indication of clogged main jet passage. Check Massey forum archives. What is past history of tractor use? Has oil been changed in transmission/rear end? engine? point gap checked? Plugs and wires? Check carb, governor , trans. Oil pressure seems good, the stalling in other gears than 3rd seems to indicate something in transmission. IHC /AC known to get into 2 gears at once, stall. General lack of power from stuck rings, bad valves would not be transmission gear specific. Get more info. RN
