I would go with the 2500HD with the Duramax and the allison trans. They get around 20 miles per gal. with 3:73 gears the 6000 gas is only available with 4:10 gears and get about 12 miles per gal The diesel is very dependable and starts good in cold weather it also has a block heater if it is real bad wich always helps.
