My painting secrets: I make sure I shake up the De-Rusto real good, (expert tip.. always put one hand on the lid). then I make sure I find a fairly clean stick or welding rod when I stir the diesel in. (yup, it's cheaper than thinner) Diesel also works good for wiping the swallow dung off the tractor before starting. If you don't get it off then, use your fingernail to scrape it and blend it into the paint with the brush. Other rules...make sure you fish most of the hardened paint out of the can before you start, and don't paint in the haybarn. (well...at least when it's windy) The above is tounge-in-cheek, (humor) but reflects pretty accurately how I deal with my 'working' equipment. Heck, from a hunnert yards or so you can't tell it from new !
