Many of the "older" garden tractor blowers had a separate"drive unit" that mounted to the tractor before mounting the blower.Usually this consists of a metal frame containing 2-3 pulleys and a linkage that mounts beneath the tractor under and behind the front axle.Ofttimes this unit gets left behind, hanging on the wall with the tire chains when the main unit and tractor leave home.A lot of the older blowers were made for the tractor mfgs by Haban(now defunct) and blower units themselves would fit several makes and models,WITH the correct drive unit for that tractor.
