Usually auto electric shops can recurve the advance mechanism to give more advance than the standard factory advance curve but it is usually a trial and error process. If you have a stock engine, you don't have much, if any, to gain by recurving with more advance. You can try and see if it runs better with 2-4 degrees advance of initial timing. If it doesn't run better there than you're not lkely to see any improvement with a recurve.
