I had a MF 130 (later version of the MF 25) a few years ago- didn't learn about its French heritage until after I bought it at auction. I paid $2,300 at auction, did some fixing, and felt lucky to get $2,700 at the second auction I took it to (it didn't make reserve at the first one). After commissions, I about broke even. The "made in France" thing is a problem, reputation-wise- I happened to overhear the buyer showing it to a couple of fellows after he purchased- when he got to the ID tag, he said, "Made in &%*$ France! Oh, *%$#@!" Rare isn't always desireable. . .
