Hi Mark, It's been a lot of years ago, but let me give this a stab. Those coils are arranged so that two cylinders fire at the same time from the same coil; one is firing on the power stroke while one is firing on the exhaust stroke. They pop this way so that the hydrocarbons are lowered with a more complete burn out the exhaust. Since #3 and #6 are half a world away in the firing order (at opposite cycles), either post could do the ignition duties. If I'm thinkin' right on the firing order, you should be able to switch 1 and 5 and/or 2 and 4 and get the same result. Hope I got it right anyway, Allan
