This ones gonna be a long one Tim. I knew she was the "roughest of the rough" when I bought it; but I kinda wanted to "putz around" with a winter project. Sure didn't know what I was bitin' off here. Heh, he. :>) I really think this engine was frozen or locked up before I bought it and someone has "loosened it up", 'cause it pushed blue smoke and had loads of blow-by when I brought it home. Since I've been running it and makin' it work again, the darned blue smoke has completely stopped and the blow-by has quieted down to what appears to be plumb normal. Ya spose it is really possible to bring these old things back from the edge of being completely "dead"? I thought sure I was gonna have to overhaul that engine, but she really is running sweet now. Dunno, Allan
