Wrong - the die is applied at the terminal, and not your fuel suppliers terminal, the terminal where they get it. The dye is put in to tell the difference between off-road fuel and on-road. Nothing else. Your state may have a tax on house fuel and not on tractor fuel or vice-versa, but the fuel is the same.
