When I bought the MTA it was from a guy two states away. He held it without deposit until I could get down there to look at it and that was AFTER I ticked him off trying to dicker him down. Went to look at it, but got cold feet and walked away. Asked the guy to hold it thru the weekend while I thought about it. No problem....he did it. Must have been meant to be cause I bought it a week or so later. Seller was and still is one of my greatest sources of information. I don't think I would have been as patient as he was. Selling long distance is hard. Short term holds and no deposits would be my way of going.
