Also when it comes to delco altenators there is a old guy in my town that says that the delcos put on tractors really need to be converted to a swing arm type brush holder. Vibration in the disels and proably gas put groves in the side of the brushes and then they will stick.He says that the car style will only last a little while. I have seen the swing arm style and it takes a different type of rear housing also. It isnt cheap but neither is working on the altenator every so often. He does a lot of them.
