Put a new Hiniker cab on a new Hydro 70 in 1975. Aftr it was all connected properly and tractor working, the heater put out warm only air on a warm autumn day. Come evening and good bye heat. We we were never able to cure the problem. The dealer sold a bunch of 70s, 86s, 666s and 686s with those cabs. None heated well. They all received an excellent auxillary heater that was mounted where the left battery was. Almost all of these tractors were equipped with an 8D battery in a shop built box just below the LF cab corner and got 1 guage cables. This was done by the dealer amd was included in the price. Along with a properly plumbed 1500 Watt block heater(plumbed to heat the block, not the top of the motor as some people think they should) permitted these tractors to be good starters in this area.
