Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago......

Wife needed a new stove as I had repaired the old one several times.......wound up spending several thousand on appliances...Top of the line Kitchen aid....stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, vent-a hood........Countertops were bright yellow and wern't much money so we replaced the countertops....which then required a new sink, and oh, by the way, if were adding a new sink shouldn't we get new facuet? I hate plumbing....

After that we replaced the cabinet doors, added crown molding to the top of the cabinets, and built new drawers (I did get a dovetail jig to do this)to go with the new drawer fronts....Bought the doors and drawer front at local salvage store. They were seconds but I can't find anything wrong with them and they look new....the most expensive one was $12....so, 22 cabinet doors, and then the 12 drawer fronts.....so, honey, if your building new drawers, how about the european slide rails so the drawers open and close nice? Yep....got those too....Then is was " That old hardware just won't look right with the new cabinet doors, so now it was all new handles and knobs.....these cost as much as the new doors and drawer fronts!

Then had to build a new island with bigger cabinets for the new stove to fit in as "The old island is just to small".

So, $13,000 and all my labor for a couple of months and she hasn't mentioned remodeling the kitchen again.....

I will admit, it does look a lot better, and the wife is happy and that's important too......

I suggest you set your wife a budget to work with and when she runs out of money then that's the end........wish I had!

Now she wants new floor covering! UHHHHHHHHH
