My swmbo insisted we had to have a dog. I do (did) not like the idea of being tied down. If We want to take off somewhere, now what do you do with the dog? Anyway, She had her way, and with my allergies, She bought a Lhasa Apso. (A small 12lb. guard dog originally from Tibet.) They are white, soft , fluffy and the easiest dog to be around I have ever seen. No messes, house trained right away, and knows his place. He does not jump up on people, and if there is a stranger around, he lets you know. I guess if you HAVE to have a dog, this is a good choice. John L.
