We have been loaned a Yanmar YM 2700 for the past 3 years, but now the owner of it is downsizing and is going to sell it. He offered it to us for $3,500 and it has a front loader and it also has a rototiller. All of it works fine, even though (I'm embarrassed to admit!) we have done very little to maintain it in the 3 years we've had it. Anyway, I've been comparing notes in the area (MI) and it seems a good deal. We've used it for 3 years with no problems. However, when they had to change the oil filter, they couldn't get a part so they had to rig it up a different way. I'm concerned about getting parts for it since it's gray market. There is actually a Yanmar dealer within 1/2 an hour of us, but I guess he gave the tractor owner a hassle before and wouldn't sell him parts. So, what to do? The tractor's owner has ordered what he needed online, but I'm concerned that if something big/heavy went out, the shipping would be ridiculous. However, this tractor has worked well in the 3 years we've had it and has been a good workhorse. It seems to be reasonably priced (the guy is selling it to us even at a little bit of a loss). I like that's it's already here and we know how it works.

From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
