I own a Yanmar 1500 grey market and have used it for 8 years. I've also owned a Farmall Cub and and 8N Ford. Yanmar dealers are prohibited by the company to sell parts for grey market Yanmars. That doesn't mean you can't get parts. While the JD made by Yanmar are close they are not exact and you'll probably not have much success in getting parts there. However, there are plenty of Grey Market parts suppliers and they have almost anything you need. Example, my clutch bit the dust last year. I got everything I needed within 4 days from Hoye Tractor in Texas. I also done business with an outfit in S. Carolina. I took the tractor to an independent tractor repair shop. The owners were former JD men and had no problems splitting the tractor and installing the new parts. They did a really good job at a fair price. I'm not saying you should buy this tractor but I am saying that parts are available. There are forums for Yanmars and there is information on aftermarket filters and such. Bob Central Arizona
