Drove a fleet of Dodge cars running on propane. they lost 15 to 20% power on propane. If you really wanted power you could pull a lever to switch it back to gasoline, she'd take off like a bat out of Hades because the timing had to be advanced to run propane, detonated a lot though. This was in the 70's, so we had to put in hard valve seats (no lead in propane to cushion them). The other fuel was helpful because of gasoline "crisis" at that time.
