Normal...no Common...yes It would seem there is excessive play or wear in the rear end somewhere that may eventually cause you a problem. The risk is in proportion to the actual cause. These old work horses seem to tolerate a little "slop" in the drive better than the new ones. I wouldn't try it with a Kubota since the tolerances are so close that even a little movement may cause detonation of the whole case in some instances. Hope this helps.
