Constant velocity shafts

We just redid the drive line on our B320 batwing this winter from the front carrier bearing back and I got to wondering if it is possible to make a constant velocity shaft for the short shaft from the carrier bearing to the tractor. The shaft on it now is an equal angular, but only works on our ford tractors, which are 13 inches from the drawbar to the end of the pto shaft. My allis 7000 is exactly 14 inches, but it doesn't turn too well with this set up, right now, it uses mostly the rear u joint. Has anyone ever assemebled their own CV joint or have any suggestions on how I could make that would cut back on the rattling so it is easier on the driveline. I was thinking of trying to find a double u joint cv joint in the cat. 3 size and using that on both ends of it. I was thinking it would be cheaper in the long run since there would be less wear on the shafts, but would like some input and any information on attempting to do this. Thanks Hurst
