I guess the "drive through the snow first" blowers work in some areas, where we are, the darn snow typically gets so deep that driving though it first would not be too practical. Here is how I deal with the snow... This was a high school vo-ag FFA project back in 1975-1976. I posted this on another board, they wanted to see a picture of it in action. I need to take one, before winter's over. The actual blower is a Hinicker, built in Mankato, the rest I built from WC Allis frames, a Deere 55 combine front axle, a Massey 90 combine rear axle, Deere drill boxes for the fenders, and a bunch of new steel.
A Chevy 261 6-cylinder moves it, an IH truck V-8 runs the blower. It has 16 forward gears, and 4 in reverse.
