All tillers "aren't" created equil, some go deeper, have a higher rotor speed or multi speed gear box, and have more tines per flange. It takes about 60 PTO hp to run a 6' "field" tiller in "all" conditions, but a decent 35 or 40 PTO hp tractor will run a 6' "garden" tiller doing small plots. If a 5 footer will cover the tire marks, that's what i'd get if i was you. BTY, If you want it to last, get a Howard of the right size for your tractor and in the end it will be worth the extra it cost you... Robert
