For a year give her 10% of paycheck, you set aside another 10% for yourself, household stuff discuss and keep a ledger/notebook. At end of year total up household spending and compare personal spending results. If she takes 10% and invests 5-8% in savings, etc and a little in personal items she should handle household. If she blows it on smoking and drinking she can't complain about tractors and equipment. If she blows more than her personal money and dips into household- (bought something with joint houshold money, return item for money to buy smoking material) then you find another wife or at least get rid of this one.
