Larry,
Everything else aside, you really want to get the manifold fixed.. When the hot exhaust valves meets up with the cool outside air, your valves will warp and possibly cause a chain reaction of problems.
I don't know if the lack of power and other symptoms are related to the manifold, but could be. Good luck,
