You ought to post this on the Oliver Forum. Lots of information on 1850s there in the archives. Even a few posts that would make a 4020 owner mad, LOL! They are decent machines. The Perkins is stout and a good performing engine. Good on fuel. Parts are not hard to come by. I have an 1850 and am pleased with it. Not MFWD. Can't say I'd ever need more than what this tractor does. Many people have refit this particular model with a Cummins with very good results. Ask for Shep/Va. over on the Oliver Forum on the refit. mud (happy 1850 owner)
