Repairing a cracked cylinder head

I just found out that my wifes van has a definite blown head gasket and since it is an aluminum head I am betting it also has a cracked head. I know it's a long shot and probably a money graber, but have any of you ever used any of this stuff you pour in your radiator to seal the head and been succesful?
