Earl, Same thing happened to my 4 cylinder head, on my Nissan pick-up one year ago. Turns out after being pressure-tested and inspected, it was only warped. The machine shop was able to hot tank it, plane it, and re-use the valves. He commented that a lot of the aluminum heads warp with time because they can't take the sustained heat with the miles. I'm sure someone is saying buy American, but the price was right at the time, and I was in school. Still has 159,000 mi. and still going. Anyway, you might have your head inspected by a machine shop. It may or may not be cracked? Good Luck. Matt
