I also have a 1/4 mile driveway. Mine has a 15% slope for about 2/3 of the way up. I have a MH50 with scraper as well as a dirt box. Never had any need for the front loader for the driveway. I grade it about 5 to six times a year and it stays really nice, nicer than the county road out front. You should be able to get a good used Massey for around $3000. Front loaders are much more expensive.
