Tim, I think that is just the nature of these older Fords. Worked for a farmer that had a early 70s model several years ago, on a cold winter morning we would have to let that old girl warm up for a few minutes before we moved it as well. I have a 73 F350 now, it is not quite as bad, but still have to wait 20-30 seconds before I can think about moving it when it is cold out.
