Your ignition timing is probably set too high. Try retarding it a bit. (Loosen the collar at the base of the distributor and rotate the distributor assembly in the same direction as the rotor rotation.) Won't take much. 3 or 4 degrees. You can do this with the engine running at a slow idle. It make take several tries to find the best setting.
