Yes, 12 volt headlight bulbs will fit in the same socket as the 6 volt. Your local Case-IH dealer should have them. If not, try a N.A.P.A. auto parts store. I have also found them at O'Reillys. An 1156 will fit, but that bulb is a tail light bulb. It is much smaller and has far less candle-power. Be sure you specifically ask for head light bulbs.
