I am preparing to mount a winch to my 20+5 14K gooseneck trailer. Not sure if I want to get a 10,000# or 12,000# winch. I have been looking awfully hard at the Milemarker as compared to Warn models. Looks like the Milemarker is substantially less money but I have not seen or worked with one personally. I'm not planning on using the winch much (I hardly used the undersized Warn 3500# on my FL-60 with the flatbed before I sold the truck) so I hate to tie up twice the money in another Warn that is going to just sit there for occasional use. I know the 3500# was undersized, so I need to replace it. I will mostly be winching up dead tractors and a car or muddin' truck for a buddy once in a while. I've been trying to look at as many trailers as I can find at shows to see the best method to mount and have come up with some good ideas. I have been unable to determine the brand or age on most I've seen though to see what others are using.
Thanks, Brian
