Just finished planting soybeans on Friday, had the rented farm left to do, as the rest were finished around May 10. The rented farm was flat and wet and no tile, but as it turned out it got wetter before it got drier. The first planted beans are poking out of the ground. Yup, good ol' haying time. I got my round baler laying in parts in the shop so no haying for me for awhile, but our hay is about 2-3 weeks out yet anyway. Had plenty of rain this spring, but now with the sun and wind it has dried out nicely but the newly planted beans will need a rain to get them going.
