Yeah, I wondered, but I gotta figure they have more than one way to get power into there -- especially winter. If they're like New England, it's summer time that kills the power grid with the Air Conditioners all running. Complete tangent, but I get a kick out of watching them build a new "Peaker" plant near me. About 10 years ago Northeast Utility removed all the remaining little backup power plants they had explaining how they were inefficient, and the grid was reliable enough they didn't need these little plants anymore to take over in case there was a major problem on the transmission system. Now because the electric grid can't handle peak demands, they're or someone is re-installing slightly bigger plants rather than run new transmission lines.
