Well to add to Chad's post If i was doing this i would go to the max wright off the bat with .060 over bore deck the block down a bit deck the head also have the head flowed and bigger valves installed have the cam redone with new lifters and also need to know what RPM that you can run in the class that you are planning to pull in as that way you can get the cam cut for max Hp. at that range also use a 706-806 manifold along with tricking out the dist. and any govener modifcations if you are going to run a gov. If it is going to be a Bonzi motor then i would have a STEEL flywheel made as myself i would not trust the stock flywheel for much over 2500 . And one thing that everybody overlooks is BALANCE all rotating parts as this is the cheapest Hp. that you can buy. Also a MSD ing. system . Now that you have done all the work next you will have to find a fuel that will maximise all the mods. and that will be something like VP racing fuel in like the C12 range. If ya want to Play then ya got to pay.
