John Deere 435 diesel oil pressure problem

John Deere 435 diesel starts with good oil pressure, but drops to almost zero after about 15 minutes of mowing. First I added a manual gauge at the tee under the oil filter canister. Waited a day, ran tractor again. Both gauges dropped to almost zero after 15 minutes. Next I dropped pan, removed and checked screen, removed filter. Everything was very clean. Filter in the canister was a Hastings LF 101.
Does anyone have any suggestion what I might try to do to correct this erratic pressure?
