I work for GM so this may be a little slanted. The 2500 series 3/4 ton truck is awesome. They have fixed what little deficiencies the old C/K had. The 6000 will be fine with the 3.73 gear. There are two things which you should know: 1, the extended cab with short box only comes with a 25 gal fuel tank; 2, the extended cab with the long box has about 34 gal but the turning circle makes trailer manuevering difficult. I opted for the regular cab with long box (34 gal with good turn circle). Good Luck and BUY GM!!!
