I would think the shop would be compelled by law to report a possible stolen tractor just because of the missing ID. I am sure there are other identifiers if a tractor of that make and model has been reported stolen anywhere. I am with you, if the shop dont report it you should call the local police and tell them what you know. The farmer may be able to get some or all of his money back in time. Hope it works out right for all. Maybe post the make and model here and see what turns up? Bob
