6 v 3 term flasher would be #229 regular, 235 heavy duty
Think you have 2 wires wrong. If I remember correctly, += hot, p=pilot(indicator) l=load.
the 229 should burn steady with 1 bulb, flash normal with 2, flash really quick with 3.
the 235 should flash normal with 1,2, or 3 bulbs.
