OT- 1 Ton vs 3/4 Ton

Been looking for a truck a long time- got good advice here on diesels. So I thought I found THE truck (F250 with 7.3) and was on my way. Got there just as the dealer was putting out a very similar F350 (not a dually). It put just enough doubt in my mind that maybe I should get the F350. I know that the 3/4 ton would probably be just fine 99% of the time. How would you decide?
