massey333, I really do understand where you are coming from. Besides trying to get a farm going again that has been idle a LONG time. I also co-own a auto repair business. And yes it is a pain in rear with people who seem to just want to waste time. and then try and be polite to the next person in line. There are some great parts people out there,, there are also some not so great ones. But i do know that being in the people biz... you just end up grinning and bearing it. I really did not mean that every dealer ship should revolve around my schedule. that was not my point! It was really frustrating about that dang u-joint! Again,,,, sorry to all! Randy

12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
