Afew years back, the kids thought it was neat to set fire to haybales left in the fields. (Kinda like bashing mailboxes.) Haven"t heard about any haybale burnings lately, but it will probably run another cycle soon. I had one fire where they set two ablaze, and about 3 acres burned as well. Thanks to a neighbor who called in the fire, and the volunteer FD who did a super job, or the loss would have been far worse!
