Hi Gang; This view is looking southwards from the same place as the other photo. Shows the typical windswept pasture several hundred feet above sea level. The little pond is fed from a stream coming downhill and the overflow goes down through the meadow to the cliff edge. These were often man-made to provide a watering place for cattle & sheep. The dark green growth is Bracken which is invading the upland fields, kills everything it smothers, root sytem travels undground. VERY difficult to erradicate, spraying & constant mowing will keep it incheck but not kill it. The stalks are "rubbery" and hard to cut-chop. the leaves (fronds) are tough and can cause cancer! It grows about 5 feet high and is inpetetrable to animals or humans. The stalks in the foreground are thistles. Cheers David Cheers David
