Drill a roll pin

Would like to know if you can drill a roll pin or is it a hardened metal, its in a coupler and it has to come out as its broke and need to drill to the shaft in middle, both sides so I can find where its at on main shaft. Thanks Don c Not enough room to get a hold on it with vice grips
