Jack, I've thought about this all darned night; couldn't sleep it was botherin' me so darned bad. And, I "guessed" at the same thing you're saying. The machine shop gave this head a real good painting; I didn't bother to clean any of the surface off where there could be an electrical connection. Then, here I come along and am trying to start the tractor with only the essentials hooked back up. Dash is all loose, sheet metal and cowling flopping in the breeze, etc., etc. I would imagine that the big cure cooked the little guy 'cause that dude never missed a beat and would always start in an eye-blink before. The module isn't cracked, however it only throws one spark when I hit the starter and one spark when I release the starter. No rotational "pickup" whatsoever. Yep, I think ya nailed it on the grounding issue. Thanks Buddy, Allan
