do you have the crazy little tool to hold the tappets from tirning as you adjust them. bet you dont. im a old ford mec. to stop the lifters from turning i would a 1/8 hole in thr side of the guide for the lifter low enough to put the drill bitt in the slot in the lifter to keep from turning when you adjust it DONT RUN WITH THE DRILL BITT IN THE HOLE some one may have done this already. it saves a lot of time in the end. .when drilling you remove the lifterwont cause any problems with oil pressure the oil will drain back in to the pan you do this to all lifters look it over you shuld see how it works
