How about someone giving a semi-technical explanation on PTO shaft RPM ratings (540 RPM means what as compared to 1000 RPM?) and it's relationship to engine RPM. Who first set the standard for PTO shaft sizes and speeds?
If, for instance, you attached a 6 ft. 540 RPM rotary cutter to a 4020 John Deere, would you get the same performance with this cutter attached to a "60" John Deere?
